"Peter Pan & Wendy" is a magical story about a slumber party that turns into an adventure when Peter Pan whisks the children away to Neverland. They meet mermaids, pirates, and face their fears while learning the power of imagination and friendship. With fun music, childish games, and hilarious fight scenes, this play is sure to leave you feeling inspired and never wanting to grow up.
MS Production '23; The Odyssey
B?ased on Homer's "The Odyssey", a parent sits down with her curious child to tell them the story. "The Odyssey" tells the story of Odysseus, a hero who fought in the Trojan War with his crew and struggles to return home to his wife, Penelope and Telemachus. Along the way, he encounters numerous obstacles, mostly instigated by an insulted Posiedon, such as the Cyclops, Sirens, and dangerous sea monsters. Taking nearly a decade to get home, Penelope must decide if she should move on and remarry or wait for her Odysseus to return home.
HS Fall Production'22: A Midsummer Night's Dream
HS Fall Production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare! A co-production with the Gender and Sexuality Alliance club, this comedic play portrays love as a blind, irrational, often beautiful force that can be both cruel and forgiving. Four lovers, Hermia & Lysandra and Helena & Demetrius, run away to the forest only to have Puck the fairy make two of the lovers fall in love with the same person. The four run through the forest pursuing each other while Puck helps his master Oberon play a trick on the fairy queen, Titania. Meanwhile, a group of crude tradesmen rehearse to perform the show of a lifetime to the duke.

Teddy's father moves his family from the busy city of Bangalore to a remote bungalow in Bihar. Teddy's mother, missing her city life, worries about Teddy being able to make friends and about the dangers of the garden outside the bungalow. Meanwhile in the garden, the resident animals fear that the cobras who terrorize them will also go after the new human family and lead to the demise of the garden. A comical light hearted tale of friendship and the challenge of changes.

Rikki Tikki Tavi

In the aftermath of a monsoon, Teddy and his family find a hurt mongoose named Rikki Tikki Tavi. Rikki Tikki grows close with his adoptive family and makes new friends with the creatures in the garden. The brave young mongoose decides to keep his human family and animal friends safe from the vicious, murderous cobras who slither through the garden. A concluding story of courage, bravery and resilience.

On the eve of Theseus' marriage to the Amazonian Hippolyta - Hades' son lures Persephone into the underworld. There, Persephone learns that gods can do more than just their divine duty. Demeter, God of Harvests and Persephone's father, is angered by the teen's choice and starves the mortals by creating a famine, demanding Persephone to return. An Ancient Greek myth with a rock band, Persephone Underground is a story of passion, empowerment and rebellion.

A group of explorers sit on a beach, staring at the world in front of them. A city spread across the coast; a collage of futuristic IT parks, rubbled buildings and ancient temples. In the middle of it all; an oasis of learning. Over the course of 25 years, the explorers, who are resilient, empathetic, thinkers, and innovators, try to uncover what it means to truly flourish.

This original production is based on real life interviews of AISC community members, conducted and composed by senior year student Seoyoung Ryu ('21), retelling their stories of the school's impact and growth with Chennai over the past 25 years. The production features original costume designs by Anjali Seshadri ('24), Erin Sullivan ('24), Hera Kwak ('21), Kavya Krishnan ('24) and Yejin Choi ('23) and a proposed set design by SJ Lee ('22).
